Why Penguin Cafe Has Absolutely Got To Be On Your To-Do List

Japan knows what's up when it comes to weird cafes and bars, but who would have thought there'd be a bar where you can drink with the penguins?

At Penguin Bar Ikebukuro, you get to do exactly that - it's probably one of the only places in the world where you can eat, drink, and spend your time watching the penguins swim beside you as you enjoy your time with friends.

I mean, aren't they just adorable?! There were probably 6~7 penguins in total and they just kind of chill in their tank and do their own thing.

The bar offers a variety of food and drink menus, and is perfect for big parties and events (they have special event menus, like all-you-can-drink options and course menus for students).

They also make everything penguin, as you can tell from the photo above (this is their penguin towel). I also found this penguin-shaped carrot in my salad!

The prices here are reasonable as well, as you only have to pay 2,500 yen for 2 hours of all you can drink. I'd say it's a pretty good deal for a concept bar like this.

The bartenders here are very easygoing as well - my friend and I basically spent our entire time talking with one of the bartenders and we got to know him pretty well by the end of the night.

If you every have an opportunity to visit Japan, consider putting this bar on your bucket list. It's one of those places where words and pictures don't do it justice. You just have to experience it yourself!
