When it comes to Instagrammable cafes and eateries, Tokyo is one of the best cities to visit. There really is no end to the number of cute cafes, restaurants, and bakeries one can find in Tokyo, which is why it's a popular destination for the so-called "Instagram Influencers".

Introduced in this post are some of my all-time personal favourites.

These eight places serve not only mouth-watering sweets and brunches, but can also 'upgrade' your Instagram page instantly!

1. SHIROHIGE'S CREAM PUFF SHOP

Can cream puffs get any cuter? These Totoro cream puffs are my favourite, not only for its presentation but also for its reasonable price (around $5/cream puff). And I just love that little leaf (which could also be a tiny hat, depending on the cream puff) on his head! Definitely a 10/10 on the cuteness radar.

Location: 5-3-1 Daita, Setagaya City, Tokyo

Phone Number: +81 3-5787-6221

Hours: 10:30-19:00; CLOSED on Tuesdays

2. HAROLD & CO

Harold & Co. might be a classy Italian restaurant in the chic district of Omotesando, but their food is not what they're most famous for.

If you look closely at the photo above, you'll notice that they created the beautiful dessert plate directly on the table! (They use a clean piece of paper as their canvas, don't worry).

That's right — this restaurant has coined the term F.Y.O.T (From Your Own Table), which lets you spoon out a piece of cake directly from the large table canvas. Unleash your inner-child and go crazy! It's perfect for parties and anniversaries, as well.

Address:Aoyama Daihan Building (B1F), 3-6-23 Kita-Aoyama, Minato City

Phone Number: +81 3-3498-9777

Hours: Monday to Thursday 11:30-15:00, 18:00-3:00(morning); Friday 11:30-15:00, 18:00-5:00(morning); Saturday 11:30-15:00, 17:00-5:00(morning); Sunday 11:30-15:00, 17:00-0:00

3. gram factory

If this isn't insta-worthy, I don't know what is. At gram factory, you can customize your shaved ice into anything you want, such as this glam-looking strawberry-goodness pictured above. Expose your creative self, and be as wild and unique (and instagram-worthy) as you want.

Address: 2-15-1 Kitazawa, Setagaya City, Tokyo

Phone Number: +81 3-3413-5338

Hours: 11:00-20:00

4. CREPERIE TIROL

At Creperie Tirol, you either go big or go home. I mean, just look at those huge pieces of grapes and cherries, and the pudding placed on top! These taste as amazing as they look, too.

Although Tirol's crepes cost almost three times as much as regular crepes you find on the streets of Tokyo, these are every-cent-of-your-money worth the price. They use the freshest, sweetest fruits, and their cream is light-weight, so it's very kind to the stomach as well.

Visit their FB page for more photos and info: https://www.facebook.com/pg/creperietirol/photos/

Address: 8-7-17 Kinuta, Setagaya City, Tokyo

Phone Number: +81 3-6411-1594

5. TRUNK KITCHEN

How about this mouth-watering, photogenic brunch dish to start your day? At Trunk Kitchen, you get to experience a variety of cuisines from all around the world. It's also a two-minute walk from Shibuya station, so they get a big check mark of approval for their amazing location, too.

Address: Located inside Hotel Trunk; 5-31 Jingu-mae, Shibuya City, Tokyo

Phone Number: +81 3-5766-3202

Hours: 7:00-23:00 Everyday

6. TOTTI CANDY FACTORY

Totti's Cotton Candy has revolutionized the cotton-candy market in Harajuku in the recent years; not only is it rainbow-coloured and pretty, it's so huge it's the size of your head. Totally instagrammable, isn't it? That is, only if you can survive the 45-minute to an hour-long line up, though.

Address: Ryu Apartment (2nd Floor), 1-16-5 Jingu-mae, Shibuya-City, Tokyo

Phone Number: +81 3-3403-7007

Hours: 10:30-20:00

7. MERCER BRUNCH

This popular brunch restaurant in mid-town Tokyo is totally worth the queue. Not only do they strive for top-notch presentation (I mean, just look at the photo), but literally everything on their menu are cooked and presented to perfection.

Apparently their French Toast is one of the best in Tokyo, which is saying a lot, since Tokyo-ites are so critical when it comes to food. This place would definitely be worth the price and the wait.

Address: Urban Style Roppongi Mikawadai (1st Floor), 4-2-35 Roppongi, Minato-City, Tokyo

Phone Number: +81 3-3470-6551

Hours: Monday to Friday 10:30-15:30 and 18:00-23:00; Weekends 9:00- 23:00

8. CANVAS TOKYO

These popping, colourful iced lattes titled "ink. CANVAS" can brighten anyone's day. But their unique flavours, like the Red Velvet and Pumpkin Latte, are also a huge part of the reason why they became so well-known. It's a perfect thirst-quencher especially in the summertime, as they're not too sweet and surprisingly refreshing.

Address: 5-19-6 Hiroo, Shibuya City, Tokyo

Phone Number: +81 3-6432-5700

Hours: 10:00-19:30

Lastly...

The fun thing about Tokyo is that there really isn't an end to these cute cafes and restaurants. For all I know, you might discover a hidden cafe in the discreet alleyways of Akihabara, or find the most instagrammable cafe in the middle of a business district in Shinjuku. And that's one of the many exciting reasons one should visit Tokyo. :)
