FUN AND EASY WORDS IN JAPANESE!

Hello Everyone!

Today, I have decided to list fun and easy-to-remember (and repetitive) Japanese words you can use to impress your Japanese friends (: I will introduce 5 words today, and there will be more to come!

1. きらきら

Kira-kira

Meaning: Twinkle-twinkle (as in stars glistening)

2. さらさら

sara-sara

Meaning: smooth (surface)

Example sentence: このつくえ、さらさらしてる (ko-no tsu-koo-eh, sara-sara shi-teh-roo) → This desk is very smooth

3. ぴかぴか

pika-pika

Meaning: shiny, bright/ clean

Example sentence:

1. ぴかぴかのかがみ (pika-pika no ka-ga-mi) → Shiny mirror;

2. ぴかぴかの部屋 (pika-pika no heh-ya) → Clean room

4. ふわふわ

hoowa-hoowa

Meaning: fluffy

Example sentence: このわたがし、ふわふわだね！(ko-no wa-ta-ga-shi, hoowa-hoowa da-neh!) → This cotton candy is so fluffy!

5. ぎざぎざ

giza-giza

Meaning: jagged

Example sentence: このはさみぎざぎざ！(ko-no ha-sa-mi giza-giza!) → This scissors is so jagged!
