CAFE REISSUE - A HIDDEN, 3D LATTE ART CAFE IN HARAJUKU (spoiler: a game-changer)

Harajuku might be known for crazy cosplays and insta-worthy crepes, but hidden in a narrow alleyway near Takeshita Street is a cafe called Reissue. Now, it's not the first thing that comes up on Google when you search Harajuku to-dos, but oh boy, this cafe experience was everything.
Now, it is a fairly easy place to miss (it doesn't have the most glamorous-looking entrance), but up some steep stairs you go and you would be led to a nice, cozy cafe with an almost retro-feeling to it.
They do have some food options here as you can tell from the blackboard, but the main reason people from all over the world come to visit this cafe... well, of course, is for their latte art.
So what's special about their lattes? Well, many things. But most importantly, they claim they can create anything on your latte upon request. And, in 3D too!!!
So... being the music nerd that I am, and also half-jokingly since I knew this was a weird request, I asked them if they can draw Chopin, my favourite composer from the 19th century. I showed them this random sample image online...
And this is what I got:
I meaaannn... isn't this simply amazing?! It looked 10x better in real life, too! When they say they can draw anything on their lattes, they really mean it.
We also ordered another latte, this one requested from my friend of her puppy, and this is what we got:
Cuteness overload!!!
If these aren't insta-worthy, I don't know what is. 3D also makes everything more special, too.
These lattes were on a pricier side (¥1100, around $10/cup) but it is all worth it, especially if you're visiting Tokyo and this is going to be a one-time experience.
